Grainhouse is a marketplace of honest, unpolished photography — market stalls, city corners, quiet mornings — ready to license for your next project.
Browse & License PhotosEvery image is shot by an independent photographer and cleared for commercial use — no stock-photo stiffness, no legal headaches.
Hand-picked collections by mood, season and subject — so you find the right shot in minutes, not hours of scrolling.
Buy a single photo for a one-off project, or a 20-image pack at a lower rate. No monthly fees hiding in the fine print.
Every license includes the original high-resolution file plus a print-ready version — delivered the moment you check out.
Clear, plain-English terms. Use images in ads, packaging, social, or print with confidence — every model and location is cleared.
Contributors keep the majority of every sale. Better pay means better, more original photography for you to choose from.
Looking for "warm and quiet" or "moody blue"? Our filters go beyond keywords to match the tone you're actually after.
Grainhouse began in a shared studio space where three photographers were sick of seeing the same lifeless stock shots on client sites. We built a marketplace that pays contributors fairly and gives buyers photography with actual texture and life in it.
Every image is reviewed by hand before it goes live — for quality, for clearance, and for the simple test of "would we actually use this?"
Buy a single license today, or grab a pack and save for your next few projects.
